The complaints of Aniyan, Anu's remarks and the statements of others in support of her are all appreciated. The delay is unintentional. As you all know, Sundays are the only days I could get a few hours to write down my thoughts and after my last note, I did not get any Sunday free as myself and Valiyamma were busy visiting relatives/friends. Today, fortunately, I got a few hours to write these few lines. Read and let me know. RAVI RECALLS will follows without much delay. Till then, goodbye and have a good time.

S L E E P
Oh! Sleep, art thou so unkind
To keep me awake the whole night.
Yesternight and the night prior
I waited for thee in vain.
The antique clock on the wall
Battered by Time
Ticks one…two…eleven… twelve
And yet no sign of thy arrival.
The morning prayers of chirping birds,
The pearly dews on the velvetti grass
Shining by the rays of rising sun
Like Crystals emitting rainbows,
The full-blown lotus flowers in the pond,
The soft violin played by the river nearby,
The air filled with the songs of farmers
And with the fragrance and honey
Of wild flowers around,
They all mean nothing to me
As my eyes are swollen and ears shut
By thy absence these days.
The doors are ajar
Like my open mind
Waiting for thee to walk in at will
And bless me with thy fondly touch.
I beseech thee with folded hands
To break the haunting silence
To take me to thy folds
To put me to sleep by thy lullabies
If, however, thou art away
Nursing my beloved, down with fever
Miles away in my village
With none to look after,
I reverse my request
Please be with her till she is fit.
Cool her temples with subtle touch
As if you were me
Pat her back
As if you were the mother
Move thy fingers thro’ her locks of hair
Soothe her with the touch of love.
Let her sleep blissfully on thy lap.
And I have no plaints
